Our Infrastructure

Hostx operates a robust dual-system architecture:

  • GameServerRoot — Our TrueNAS-based physical server infrastructure providing raw performance for mission-critical workloads
  • GameServerVirtualized — A virtualized game server host supporting rapid provisioning and flexible resource allocation for multiple game instances

Both systems are monitored in real-time, with metrics updated every 5 seconds to give you up-to-the-minute visibility into system health and capacity.

Understanding the Metrics

Each server card displays three key performance indicators:

CPU Usage: Processor utilization percentage. Green indicates healthy usage (under 50%), orange shows moderate load (50-75%), and red warns of high load (above 75%).

RAM Usage: Memory consumption shown in both gigabytes and percentage of total capacity. Color coding follows the same threshold system as CPU.

Disk Usage: Storage utilization across the system. Keep an eye on disk capacity to ensure smooth operations.

Technical Architecture

This dashboard is built on a modern, responsive architecture:

The frontend uses vanilla JavaScript with IntersectionObserver to intelligently display sidebar cards when main content scrolls out of view. A lightweight Node.js/Express backend proxy handles API communication, keeping your credentials secure while providing normalized data to the client.

Data is polled every 5 seconds, with server-side caching to minimize upstream API load. The system gracefully falls back to demo data if API endpoints are unreachable, ensuring the UI remains functional even during maintenance.
